Random pics

If only Jacob would have put his head through that hole...
Man, he LOVES to rock and sing but it HAS to be on his terms.  If he's not feelin' it, he's not feelin' it.

A quick shot at the Kids Expo last weekend.

Jacob is watching TV (probably Tom & Jerry).  I was sitting 5 feet away calling his name and he never broke his concentration once!  Selective hearing??

Five-teen

I never really thought about it but it makes more sense to say five-teen than fifteen.

The Eyebrow

Like father like son!

Watching Evan attempt 'the eyebrow' is even funnier.

Surgery

Today was Jacob's big surgery day (adenoidectomy).  Of course it had to fall on the worst weather day of the year!  Thankfully our surgeon was one of the ones who made it to the hospital.  It ended up not being such a bad thing because many people canceled their surgeries so we didn't have to wait.
Jacob was a champ.  He was very brave.  Surgery went well and we are on the mending road.  We had a little trouble with throwing up for the first four hours but we pushed past and by 7pm he was begging for more and more and more food.  We sent him to bed with his puke bucket by his side just in case.

These are some pictures from after surgery.
He told me he was too tired to smile.

Monster Truck Show

Nate took the boys to the Monster Truck Show again this year.  They were better prepared and had their own earmuffs.  They also had pit passes to go down and see the monster trucks up close.  Another key change from last year was another adult.  Our neighbors Chad and Wyatt went with the boys.  Bathroom and food trips were much easier.

One of the trucks was called Chalkboard Chuck and kids were able to write their names on it.

This is one event that I am OK staying at home.  Let's just say it's boy bonding.

Evan (aka Scooter)

After not walking for a week... Evan is back!!  We are still not sure what happened but blood work has been sent, x-rays have been taken and we will re-evaluate next week with ortho.  We are all very happy to have Evan running and jumping and wrestling with his brother again!!  Here are a couple pictures of Evan wearing his immobilizer.... it made him brave enough to attempt walking again.  The bear next to him was for being sooo brave getting his blood drawn.  Evan named him 'Bob no pants'.

Happy Birthday Jacob!

It's already that time of year again!!  Jacob will be turning 5 on Saturday!!  The years are really flying by.  Kindergarten this year, wow!  Jacob has always been our comic relief and practical voice in the house.  He has really taken a liking to music and drama with a great imagination!
Here are some pictures from the past year...

Bowling at his 4 year old birthday party.

Showing us his hurt finger...  I think?

A flare for drama and dance.

Just Jacob.

Lovin' his brother

Dancing the night away.

Jammin'

Cute.

Posing for a picture.... (I might be guilty of watching too much Americas Next Top Model.)

Rockin' Santa

First role in a play.  He was the Inn keeper.

Jacob with his acoustic guitar. A more laid back day of music. We have since got a strap and pick.. loving it!

A full on jam session, complete with a Michael Jackson glove and microphone.

Christmas

We have been very busy over Christmas.  We celebrated Christmas 3 times and had 2 more family gatherings.  Jacob and Evan received many presents, thank you to everyone!  They have been very busy testing everything out.  Here are a couple pictures from the last couple weeks.

 Cars rescue vehicles

The boys are addicted to Nate's Buck Hunter game on Wii.

Jam session.  Notice the Michael Jackson glove on his left hand.
Playing band with all the new instruments and microphone.  All they need is a stage!

Chistmas Play

Jacob was in his first Christmas Play that involved speaking.  I was so proud of  him.  The whole class did great and it was very cute!  Here are some pictures of my little Innkeeper.  His lines were....
"No, there are no more rooms.  But you may rest in the stable in the back if you wish."
I loved seeing his face and how proud of himself he was.

After the play we took a picture of the Jacob by his prop.
