Of course Evan was sleeping through it all. Maybe if he slept more at night he wouldn't want to sleep all day.

Fun with Grandma & Grandpa

Sunday Grandma and Grandpa came over to watch the boys for us while we were out putting in our edging. Sod next week!!!!! I can't wait! Looks like they had fun inside making tunnels and playing with balloons. Notice how Tom's hat was knocked off in the first picture.

Work Picnic in the Dells

This past weekend was the American Family company picnic at Mt. Olympus in the Dells. Even thought there weren't many rides that the boys were able to go on, we still managed to have a good time. However, I think they had more fun at the outlet mall later that day.

Wednesday at the Pool.

Wednesday was a beautiful day. We went out to Dean and Beanies house to have fun by the pool. Evan was a cool dude hangin' with G-ma. All he did was sleep, eat, and 'chill'. Jacob took the role as pool boy fishing out bugs and being our beer man. He used his wheel barrow to deliver new beers and take empties away. Neither of the boys were interested in jumping in the pool with us. They preferred to just put their feet in.

Fun in the sun!

Today the boys and I ventured to Middleton to visit the water park. A coworker tipped me off to this nice change of scenery, especially on these hot days.... Thanks Jodi! The boys were instantly scared when one of the sprayers turned on when we were right in front of it. But they did warm up to it and had fun... from the perimeter. The first picture shows what Jacob did the entire time. Yes, that is him with the orange shorts falling down, he has no butt! The second pic is just one of the water pad. Various sprinklers turn on and off, so watch out where you are standing!

Patio

This past week we got our patio. This will be nice for grill outs and nights by the fire.

Next on the list.... a yard. This one will take a bit longer though. On a side note, the addition, next to the patio is ready to be insulated and drywalled. Nate (and friends Greg and Adam) finished the electrical this past week. It will be nice to have this room opened up to the rest of the house.

Project: Addition

Nate has been hard at work the last couple weeks. He sneaks in a couple hours work here and there. It has paid off, because now the outside of the addition is pretty much done!! Well we need stairs but that will have to be after the patio is put in. It looks great!

This coming week, weather permitting we will get our concrete patio, and a little slab off the walk out. Slowly it is all coming together. We also planted a couple trees this weekend. I think it will be a little bit before we have grass, but to be honest, I think the boys will be sad when their dirt piles are gone.

Jacob & Evan's Room

We finished the boys room this weekend. With Nate always working on the addition I took on the task of painting the entire house. I did need Nate's help with the border. Someday we will get a bed for Jacob, but for now he is OK with having his mattress on the floor. Hopefully he'll hold out until Evan is ready for a big boy bed so we can get bunk beds.

Naughty

Looks like we have another climber. The other day Nate caught Evan pulling himself up off the ground by holding onto the oven......Double Naughty!!!
