Random pics

If only Jacob would have put his head through that hole...
Man, he LOVES to rock and sing but it HAS to be on his terms.  If he's not feelin' it, he's not feelin' it.

A quick shot at the Kids Expo last weekend.

Jacob is watching TV (probably Tom & Jerry).  I was sitting 5 feet away calling his name and he never broke his concentration once!  Selective hearing??

Five-teen

I never really thought about it but it makes more sense to say five-teen than fifteen.

The Eyebrow

Like father like son!

Watching Evan attempt 'the eyebrow' is even funnier.

Surgery

Today was Jacob's big surgery day (adenoidectomy).  Of course it had to fall on the worst weather day of the year!  Thankfully our surgeon was one of the ones who made it to the hospital.  It ended up not being such a bad thing because many people canceled their surgeries so we didn't have to wait.
Jacob was a champ.  He was very brave.  Surgery went well and we are on the mending road.  We had a little trouble with throwing up for the first four hours but we pushed past and by 7pm he was begging for more and more and more food.  We sent him to bed with his puke bucket by his side just in case.

These are some pictures from after surgery.
He told me he was too tired to smile.

Monster Truck Show

Nate took the boys to the Monster Truck Show again this year.  They were better prepared and had their own earmuffs.  They also had pit passes to go down and see the monster trucks up close.  Another key change from last year was another adult.  Our neighbors Chad and Wyatt went with the boys.  Bathroom and food trips were much easier.

One of the trucks was called Chalkboard Chuck and kids were able to write their names on it.

This is one event that I am OK staying at home.  Let's just say it's boy bonding.
