Softball Monday

To end Memorial Day weekend, we headed to the park for Nate's softball game.
Both were so tired from staying up late and playing hard all weekend that we had major breakdown when we got home.  I wish I had pictures of that to show you because it was pretty comical.
Hopefully they sleep well tonight because we are headed to Jellystone Park for the next three days.

Post Marathon

After the marathon we had some friends and family over to enjoy some good food and good company.  What a gorgeous weekend! The boys had fun playing with their buddy Landon and our newest neighbor Wyatt.

Madison Half Marathon

One year ago Chad convinced Nate, Lisa and I to run the Madison Half Marathon.  It was a great experience despite the injuries.  This year Chad ran solo.  Nate and the boys and I went down to cheer him on.  It was a very hot day to be standing still, I can't imagine having to run a marathon.  Way to go Chad!

Double the Pleasure

This morning I took Jacob and Evan to the dentist.  Jacob has been there before but it was Evan's first time.  I was thinking that Jacob could go first so Evan could watch but they took them at the same time.  They both did great!  I was a proud momma.  (I'm sure they think I'm a little weird for taking pictures.)
I love this place, the waiting room has the coolest play area and the exam area  has lots of things for kids to look at.  They give the kids sunglasses to wear under the lights, prizes, stickers, and tooth brushing supplies.  True to form Jacob and Evan picked Cars and Spiderman.
Brushing and flossing.

Superheros

Grandma Dohman sent a nice superhero care package to Jacob and Evan.  Jacob has a Spiderman cape and Evan's is Cars. They love it!!  Thanks mom!  Here are some of the pictures I was able to get.

Below are the 'ugly' dolls she also made them. Each with mini capes and a karate belt.

Cow Tippers in Training

Aunt Laura gave the boys cow tipping t-shirts when she came to visit.  Thanks Laura!  It was an adventure taking pictures. We have a few of silly and serious and 'come on already take the picture' pictures.

Rainy day activities

Here are a few recent pics of the boys.  They move so fast these days it's hard to take a picture.

Evan always has one eye on Jacob.
Next the boys were making a house for their animals.  The books are actually siding.  If you're wondering why they have so many of the same animal, it is because when Jacob was younger he kept chewing the eyeballs off his frog (Freddy).  So to prepare for the same thing we just bought a couple Busters right off the bat.
The house is complete.  Jacob stayed on task working on the siding and the roof while Evan goofed off.

My latest tshirt.  I copied this idea from a fellow blogger.  I used a bleach pen for the dash marks.  Jacob is getting tired of taking these pictures.  He kept rolling his eyes at me.
A cute detail on the back.

Pretend Play

Many of you have heard me complain about Evan being a cat.  Apparently my mom said that I did the same thing when I was a kid.  Guess I can't blame this one on Nate.
I couldn't get my video to load so here it is on youtube.
