Christmas

We have been very busy over Christmas.  We celebrated Christmas 3 times and had 2 more family gatherings.  Jacob and Evan received many presents, thank you to everyone!  They have been very busy testing everything out.  Here are a couple pictures from the last couple weeks.

 Cars rescue vehicles

The boys are addicted to Nate's Buck Hunter game on Wii.

Jam session.  Notice the Michael Jackson glove on his left hand.
Playing band with all the new instruments and microphone.  All they need is a stage!

Chistmas Play

Jacob was in his first Christmas Play that involved speaking.  I was so proud of  him.  The whole class did great and it was very cute!  Here are some pictures of my little Innkeeper.  His lines were....
"No, there are no more rooms.  But you may rest in the stable in the back if you wish."
I loved seeing his face and how proud of himself he was.

After the play we took a picture of the Jacob by his prop.

Snow Globe

I found Evan looking at a snow globe this morning.  It was so cute, he spent at least fifteen minutes shaking it and then gazing at it.  Makes me wonder what was going through his mind at the time.

Christmas Rock Concert

Jacob came out dressed up like this the other day.  He said he was getting ready for the Christmas Rock Concert.  He was dressed as a Rock n Roll Santa.

Annual American Family Christmas Breakfast

The same characters were at American Family this year as years past.  Reindeer, Penguin, Snowman, Clifford, and Santa.  But this year we also met Maynard from the Mallards. (Bucky never showed up.)  Evan was super shy and wouldn't go near anyone so our pictures consist of Jacob hugging all the characters. Here are two of them.

Happy Halloween!

We tried to have the boys carve a pumpkin this year but they were not too into the slimy mushy stuff.  So much for having boys!  They much prefer to paint their pumpkins.

Livingroom Camp-out

Nate was gone on business this week so I thought it would be fun to have a camp-out with the boys.  I found some batman tablecloths to make a fort with and Nate had bought the boys a lantern.  Of course it went a lot smoother in my head but overall it was fun for all.

Here are some pillows I made the boys for the camp-out.  (Thanks to Amanda for the lesson!)
Batman Fort
 Good night!
I snuggled in right between the boys... for about 10minutes.  Then I moved to the couch and around 2am I made my way to my bed.

Hunting for Leaves

I have quickly figured out the downside of living in a new development ...  lack of fully grown trees.  I miss this the most in Autumn when the leaves are so full of color and then begin to fall on the ground.  Well today we went out on a search for leaves to fill some pumpkin bags.  After filling the bags we did a lot of playing.

Enjoy the rest of Fall!

Busy Barns

This past weekend we headed out to Busy Barns with the Lassahn's.  I was excited to try someplace new but part of me was sad because we have gone to Eugsters for the past 3 years.  BUT.....Busy Barns was great!  The boys had a blast and they never ran out of things to do.  Obstacle course, slides, corn box, apple launcher, corn maze, puppet show, hay ride, various games & activities and lots of animals to feed and hold.  We were exhausted by the time we left.

Hamster wheel
Puppet show
Bean bag / milk jug game came in very handy while waiting 30min for our food.

 Obstacle course

Corn maze

 Ahhh.
