No Nap Wednesday!

Naps were not happening today and the whining was beginning to drive me crazy so we headed outside.
The boys had a blast wrestling and running around.  I guess a little fresh air helps everyone.  Now they are enjoying a movie and I am enjoying the quiet.

The wrestling was quite funny.  Evan would run and tackle Jacob and then sing "Rock-a-bye baby.."

I asked the boys to stop and smile for a picture...
Evan is a pretty typical kid and holds up his rock fossil.
Jacob, on the other hand, decides to strike a pose.
I took multiple pics of him and he continued to give me different poses.

Fall Fun

I love Fall.  It is my favorite season by far.  I always feel like I need to squeeze so much in so little time  because it is also the shortest season.
Here are some pictures from a local park.

I think I've mentioned before that Evan is a collector.  Well I decided to just welcome it because there were too many tears involved when I tried to dispose of them.  So now our house is filled with chestnuts and pine-cones.  His next mission is leaves and acorns.

Madison's Children's Museum

We took our chances at the Children's Museum the other week and were very pleased.  It was busy but not too bad and then everyone cleared out around 11:30, must have been nap time.  The boys absolutely loved it... even without seeing the rooftop (closed for maintenance for the day).  Jacob's favorite thing was the tunnels to climb and slide down.  Evan loved the shadow room.  It was nice to have two parents because for the first time Evan didn't want to always do what Jacob wanted.  Here are some pics.

Evan driving the car... Jacob starting to climb.
Before the slide down.
More climbing.
Painting the window.  Another favorite of both boys.  Paint - Spray - Squeegee... what could be more fun?
Hamster wheel.
Water play.  The boys thought it was so cool that the water looked hot (smokey) but was cold.
This last picture is funny because it is classic Evan.  He is such a collector/gatherer.  It could be acorns, rocks, pine cones, or in this case eggs.

roMANce

My friend Timmy V. sent me these pictures taken from a wedding last weekend.  I absolutely love the editing, I had to share!

The first is the edited picture.  The 'Boozies" having a moment.

Here is the original

I was in need of a good laugh.  Thanks again Timmy!

Jump-Diving

We just have a little pool but that doesn't stop the boys from diving in.  Evan does this non-stop once he gets used to the water.  I cringe every time they land, because it looks so painful!
The pictures turned out pretty cool though.

Hey Evan... There's a little something on your face.

Cousins

A couple weekends ago we went to MN to visit my family.  Unfortunately the only weekend we could go, my parents were in South Dakota.... bummer!   We were able to visit with my brother while he worked in the workshop on his Etsy items and then we spent the day with my sister and nephew Jabari.  The boys had a blast playing together... it made me sad that they don't get that chance more often.  Here are a couple pics of the boys playing together.... my picture taking skills have been a bit lacking these days so bear with me.

Gotta love that face!

Jellystone Park, Warrens.... Round Two

Round Two at Jellystone was much improved!  Water slides and wave pools were open, the boys met Yogi and Boo Boo and there were people there!!!  We had perfectly hot weather and lots of fun.  We also rented a golf cart this time which was a life saver!   Here are some pics.

Lazy river and Wave pool.  Check out the cool dude in the back left.
