A new addition to Funfest this year was bull riding. The boys put on their brave faces but were very nervous. Jacob braved putting his arm up in the air but Evan said no way!

T Ball
Well, I'm finally getting around to posting some T Ball pictures. Next week is the last game.
We were able to get Evan on the team too which made his world! It has been pretty entertaining watching the kids play each week. Super cute! You will notice that even though it is called T-ball, the coaches on our team decided to pitch to the kids instead. Love this!

Great Wolf Lodge
The heat has been unbearable so we took advantage of it and spent a day in the Dells. We decided on The Great Wolf Lodge and it couldn't have been a more perfect day. We were in the water all day Wednesday, made a quick trip to the outlets next door and then ate dinner at 7pm.... the boys were practically sleeping at the table. They got a small second wind after we put our pj's on, just long enough for the bedtime story at the Lodge. We were even able to fit some swimming in on Thursday before we left. Then Jacob and Evan had swimming class, and we ended Thursday night by going to Nate's softball game. So it is 9am Friday morning and although Nate has been at work for a couple hours the rest of us just rolled out of bed. Perfect time for morning showers!
Here are a couple pictures we shot before we packed away the camera.
If you were wondering... yes Jacob has a fohawk. It started out as a joke on Nate but it turns out that it totally fits Jacob's personality and he loves it. So we are going to keep it... for now.

Henry Vilas Zoo
It has been quite awhile since we have visited the zoo. Today seemed like a great day to check out the animals. There was A LOT of other people with the same idea. We managed to stick together and have fun!
They had a couple cockatoos out of their cage, the boy giraffes were hitting each other with their heads (sparring) and the male peacock was chasing the female. All hilarious and super cool but I couldn't get those videos on this blog so here are some pictures I was able to get. (Still figuring out how to use my phone.)
One for mom..
One for fun.
The male peacock was following the female around looking for some attention, but she wasn't giving him any.
Feeding the goats.
Normally we ride the train but the line was ridiculous so we opted for the carousel. Talk about getting dizzy.. I'll stick to the train next time!
A couple penguins.

Legoland
This past Friday we headed to Legoland with some friends. In addition to the regular Lego builds the theme for the weekend was Star Wars... super cool to little boys. They had a blast!
Below we finally got Evan to get in a couple pictures.
The most random Lego structure we came across was Obama!

Catch Up Post
It's been awhile since my last post so this will be a bit of a hodge - podge post.
Jacob finished his first soccer season on Memorial Day weekend.
My parents, sister and nephew also visited us that weekend. We enjoyed spending the weekend with them and headed to Brat Fest one of the days. I have some pictures of Jacob's last game but forgot to take pictures the rest of the weekend=(
A cute pic of Jacob and Lily.
The next time my camera came out was Wednesday June 8th. We had tickets to the Mallards game. The weather report didn't look promising but we headed out anyway. We were able to pick up our free hats and sit in our seats... then it started to rain. We hung out for a little but decided it was best to go home. It was a very scary ride home for all because that was the night of the tornado in Verona. It was a mild tornado, only tree damage but it felt pretty huge in the car. When we finally made it home the power was already out and our yard was a disaster... all of our toys and things scattered around the yard. After having ice cream by flashlight we headed to bed.
It was a good thing we decided to go to that Mallards game because we were able to get free rain out tickets. The only way you get to go to another game is if you actually showed up to the rain out game. So last night was a beautiful night for a baseball game. We all had a great time and were very exhausted by the time we got home.
Here are a couple 'cheesy' pictures that I took with my phone.
And that's what has been going on at the Bindl house.
Next to come..... Jacob starts tee ball June 25th (still working on getting Evan on that team)

Mud Run
This past Sunday Nate's cousin Dan convinced us to run in the Madison Mud Run. The run actually took place in Verona so it was very close to our house. It consisted of a handful of obsticles like wall climbs, slip n slides, and mud pits spread out through a 4.6mile course. It was SUPER windy that day so it made for a cold run, especially after running through the creek! Despite the cold it was a lot of fun, and we got a free mud facial. We brought a waterproof camera with us so here are the pics... some are blurry because the camera was covered in mud.
Before the race...
